Coach Gillespie began Began playing tennis in Antigo with his father at age 11. In addition to playing football and basketball throughout high school, he played #1 singles for his 3 years on varsity tennis team. He then proceeded to play #2 singles at St. Norbert College as a Freshman.


Coach Gillespie’s time began with De Pere Tennis as the Girl’s head coach in 1980 and Boy’s head coach in 1981. He continued to coach Girls and Boys teams until 1985, and then returned in 2011 to serve as the Boy’s head coach.In 2015, Coach Gillespie was awarded the Fox River Classic Conference Boys Tennis Coach of the Year. He has been a staple of the De Pere tennis program since the beginning.

Coach Gillespie was joined in 2015 by Assistant Coach Haprt. Harpt is an avid tennis player, who has passed the love of the sport onto his own children, whom play competitively.


In 2022, Collin Kaczorowski joined the coaching roster. Colin played High School tennis at Bay Port High before joining Saint Mary’s University’s roster in 2013. Colin was awarded All-MIAC Doubles (2015) and MIAC Athlete of the Week (2013).  He is currently an active tennis pro at Western Racquet Tennis Club.
